Design and quotation
We price from your plans or from the kitchen as it stands, and come back with a written quote that itemises every cut-out, every edge and every join. Nothing is payable at this stage.
Two starting points, both of them fine
Some kitchens exist on paper: a CAD plan from a kitchen supplier, an architect drawing, or a sketch on the back of an envelope with run lengths on it. Others exist in the room, because you are keeping the units and replacing what is on top of them. We quote either way. What changes is how tight the number can be before anybody visits.
Be clear on one thing: this stage is not a measure. A quote is priced from your dimensions, and the binding measurements are taken at template. If the room turns out different from the plan, the price moves, and we tell you before a single slab is cut, not after it has been fitted.
We will also tell you where a cheaper surface does the same job. Most kitchens do not need the top of the range, and a fitter who pretends otherwise is selling you a slab rather than a kitchen.

Send us what you have
A kitchen plan is ideal. A photograph of the room with rough run lengths written on it is enough. Include the corners and any window that a run dies into, because those are where the surprises live.

Indicative range, same day
We come back with a ballpark based on your square metres and the family of stone you are looking at. It tells you whether we are in the right conversation before anyone gets in a van.

Samples in your own light
Order the samples you are actually considering and look at them at night, under your own lighting, next to your door colour. Showroom lighting flatters every slab ever quarried.
- 04Phone or email
Specification conversation
Thickness, edge profile, sink type, hob model, upstands or a full-height splashback, drainer grooves, overhangs on an island. Each of these changes the price and some of them change the material we would recommend.
- 05Fixed
Written itemised quote
The fixed number, broken into lines. Approve it and that is what you pay, unless you change the specification or the room measures differently at template.

What the written quote itemises
One total with nothing behind it is how extras get added later. Here is what appears as its own line on ours.
Surface area, run by run
Square metres per run against the supply rate for the slab you chose. Supply prices start at £110/m² and run to £550/m² across the range, and the rate is always shown separately from the work.
Edge profile and which edges get it
A polished edge on the exposed sides costs differently from a mitred edge that builds a thicker look from a thinner slab. The quote says which edges are treated, not just which profile you picked.
Every cut-out, priced individually
Sink aperture, tap holes, hob, pop-up sockets, drainer grooves. Each is a separate machining operation and each is a separate line, so if you drop one later the price drops with it.
Joins: how many and roughly where
Slabs come in fixed sizes, so a long run needs a join. We say at quotation how many your layout will need and confirm the exact positions with you at template.
Upstands and splashbacks by the metre
Priced by linear metre and by height, and worth deciding now rather than later. They are cut from the same slab run as your worktop when they are ordered together.
Templating, fabrication and fitting
Shown as their own lines rather than buried in the stone price, with the deposit and balance stages set out underneath.

What helps us price it accurately
The more of this we have, the less the number moves between quotation and template.
Send if you have it
- A plan with run lengths and unit depths, or measurements taken along the wall
- The make and model of your sink: the cut-out is machined to that exact bowl
- The tap, and how many holes it needs
- Hob make and model, and whether it is flush-fitted into the stone
- Whether there is a Belfast or butler sink, existing or on order
- Photographs of the room including corners, windows and any awkward wall
- Anything sitting under the worktop: dishwasher, wine cooler, integrated bin
What we cannot do at this stage
- Price a kitchen from a colour name and nothing else
- Confirm the final square metres before the room is templated
- Design your kitchen layout or supply units, doors and appliances
- Guarantee a slab is reserved before a deposit is taken at template

Does a quote cost anything?
No. Quotation and samples cost nothing and there is no obligation. The first money that changes hands is the deposit, and that is taken at the template stage once the room has been measured properly.
How quickly do I get a price?
An indicative range comes back the same working day. The full itemised quote follows once we have the details that actually drive the price: your sink, your tap, your hob and the edge profile.
Can you quote from photographs?
For a ballpark, yes. For a fixed written quote we need dimensions, even rough ones taken with a tape along the wall. Photographs on their own tell us the shape of the room but not its size.
Can the price change after I accept it?
Only if you change the specification, or the room measures differently at template from the plan we quoted against. In either case we tell you the revised number before anything is cut, and you decide then.
