Worktop templating in Feltham
A digital template plotting the room as it really is, taken once your units are fitted, fixed and level.
Feltham kitchens
What the kitchens here are actually like
These kitchens have usually been retiled twice and knocked through once, and both of those leave marks the worktop has to deal with. The template records what the building actually did, not what the plan intended, and the gap between those two is what this visit is for. Units fitted, fixed and level first.
The work is replacement rather than remodel: laminate out, 20mm quartz in, undermount sink, same layout.
Mostly unextended semis and postwar houses with straight galley runs of 3m to 3.5m. High volume of straight swap-outs where the old laminate was hiding a badly out-of-level base run, so packing the units is genuinely half the install time. Easy. Off-street parking on most streets, very little controlled parking, and the A312 and A314 feed the area directly.
Original quarry-tiled floors sit lower than a later screed, so a run crossing that junction needs the units packed to one level. The typical 1930s kitchen sits at the back with a low window over the sink run, so the template records the exact sill height above the units to settle whether an upstand fits or the stone has to die into a window board. Recorded as it is, not as it was drawn.
The stock behind these kitchens runs to 1930s semi, postwar estate house, town-centre flat and 2010s infill development. A quote that ignores which one you have is guessing.
True everywhere
Worktop templating, in short
- Two to three hours on site for a typical kitchen.
- Units must be fitted, fixed and level first. No stone is ever cut from a plan.
- Sink, tap and hob must be physically on site, not just ordered.
- A Belfast or butler sink must be installed and at its final height.
Covered from the High Wycombe patch. Fitted 3–7 working days from template.

What gets asked for here
Second or third on the list around here, after worktop replacement. Same visit, same bench, same crew, same lead time.
1930s and inter-war semis
Getting stone into the room
Gravel and block paving both look like hard standing and neither takes a loaded trolley, so the run from tail lift to door gets boarded. A templater circling for a space arrives late into a slot that was already tight, and the drawing is what suffers. Two hours is the realistic figure.
1930s and inter-war semis
True everywhere, stated once
A template records what the building actually did, not what the plan intended. How far those two things diverge is entirely a function of when the house was built.

Questions
Worktop templating in Feltham
If yours is not here, ring and ask. You get a straight answer rather than a call-back from a salesperson.
Do you cover Feltham?
Yes. Feltham is on the patch, and the postcodes we work here are TW13, TW14. It is run from the High Wycombe side, covering Buckinghamshire & Berkshire. A front drive is the best thing that can happen to a fitting day, because the tail lift comes down within a few metres of the door and nothing is on a clock. It is noted on the job sheet at template so the fitting crew inherit the answer rather than rediscovering it. It goes on the job sheet for the fitting crew. We template in your kitchen and fit in your kitchen, so there is nothing to visit and nothing to collect.
Does the housing in Feltham change how worktop templating works?
There is usually a shared rear alley, and whether the gate onto it is unlocked decides whether long pieces come in from the back. Where the room has been knocked through to the dining room or opened into a later extension, the two floors rarely sit at the same level and the laser has to be shot across the whole opening from one datum. Two to three hours, once the units are in. High volume of straight swap-outs where the old laminate was hiding a badly out-of-level base run, so packing the units is genuinely half the install time.
How does the stone actually reach a kitchen in Feltham?
Easy. Off-street parking on most streets, very little controlled parking, and the A312 and A314 feed the area directly. Even an easy kerbside carry wants the pavement clear at the tail lift, because a three-metre piece on edge has a swing radius nobody expects until it is swinging. The templater measures that route on the same visit, so the drawing leaves site already knowing the maximum piece. The laser records it along with everything else. Tell us what the approach looks like when you book the template and it gets built into the day rather than discovered on it.
Do you do much worktop templating around Feltham?
It is one of the three we do most here, behind worktop replacement. Same template visit, same workshop, same installers either way. A new extension slab is not automatically level, and that wants checking before templating rather than after the stone is cut. Two to three hours on site, with the sink, tap and hob physically present. Units fitted, fixed and level first. The junction between the original room and the extension is the point to watch, because the two floors rarely sit at the same height. Two to three hours on site, with the sink, tap and hob physically present. Appliances on site, not on order.
Why do two Feltham kitchens the same size price differently?
The catch with a galley is that both runs are seen end-on from the doorway, so any difference in overhang between the two reads immediately. Join positions and vein direction are marked on the template drawing before it leaves site. One datum for the whole room. Material is £110-£550 per square metre supply only, and templating, fabrication and fitting are quoted on their own lines.
What has to be finished before you can template?
Level has to hold across the whole room rather than along one wall, or a floor that falls end to end shows as a step where two pieces meet. It is recorded on the drawing with the run dimensions so the workshop is not guessing. Plotted, not estimated. All base units in, including anything standing on the later extension slab, walls skimmed to final thickness, and the sink, tap and hob delivered so cut-outs and tap centres are set from the actual items. An owner living in the house makes the decisions and lives with them, so the specification tends to go towards the material rather than towards the lowest total. A template booked hopefully around another trade is the commonest cause of a wasted visit. Appliances on site, not on order.
